Japanese illustrator, animator, and cartoonist Yoshiko Watanabe is one of the figures who have contributed to the history of Japanese animation, taking part in the creation of some of the most iconic and beloved series for entire generations.
Having trained artistically in the environment of Mushi Production, the studio founded by Osamu Tezuka, she has worked on legendary productions such as Astro Boy, Princess Sapphire, Kimba: The White Lion and Rocky Joe, contributing to the birth and affirmation of a visual language destined to profoundly influence the imagination of international animation.
Throughout her career, he has traversed the world of illustration, comics, and animation, developing a personal style that combines Japanese artistic sensibility with the tradition of narrative drawing.
