Daniele Moretti | Art Direction & Communication for Cinema and Series

KEYNOTE | Art Direction & Communication for Cinema and Series – Daniele Moretti

Founder and creative director of BIG JELLYFISH, a creative agency based in Rome, Daniele Moretti has been working in the world of film communication since 2011, contributing to the construction of the visual identity of some of Italy's most important productions for cinema and television series.
From They Call Me Jeeg Robot to They Killed Spider-Man – The Legendary Story of the 883, up to Paolo Strippoli's L'Estranea, his work stands out for its ability to translate the essence of an audiovisual work into images capable of recounting its atmospheres, characters, and identities.
His creative research is rooted in the tradition of the great masters of the film poster, from Ballester to Casaro and Struzan, reinterpreting their language through a contemporary aesthetic. An approach that combines illustration, composition, and art direction to create recognizable visual imaginaries capable of synthesizing the narrative power of a film into a single image.
Through BIG JELLYFISH, it also develops integrated communication strategies for cinema and TV series, combining trailers, motion posters and social media to build campaigns capable of engaging with an increasingly demanding and informed audience.
In the keynote “Art Direction & Communication for Cinema and Series”, Daniele Moretti will recount the creative process that accompanies the communication of an audiovisual work: from the design of the poster to the definition of visual identity, up to the development of content and languages for the various platforms.
A meeting to explore the relationship between cinema, art, and communication, discovering how artistic direction can transform a story into a visual imagery capable of intriguing, moving, and engaging audiences.
