Heroes Master 2021 is Lamberto Bava: director, writer and screenwriter. In his masterclass he will retrace his horror debut alongside his father celebrating the Italian television fantasy par excellenct Fantaghirò, of which in 2021 is 30 years old.

Lamberto Bava (born 3 April 1944) is an Italian film director. Born in Rome, Bava began working as an assistant director for his director father Mario Bava. Lamberto co-directed the 1979 television film La Venere d'Ille with his father and in 1980 directed his first solo feature film Macabre. Bava continued working in the 1980s and collaborated with Dario Argento on films such as Demons. After 1990, Bava's work was predominantly involved with television, such as his Fantaghirò series. In 2014 he made his debut as a writer by publishing the horror novel Just for us vampires. In 2018 he returned to directing with the film Twins starring Gérard Depardieu . In 2018 the documentary Bava Puzzle, the fantastic cinema of Lamberto Bava directed by Daniele Ceccarini and Paola Settimini, was made, which traces his career through the testimonies of friends and collaborators. In 2020 his second novel Il terzo giorno is released by Cut-up Edizioni .
