Heroes 2026 – Activities for Academies and High Schools
HEROES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is dedicated to the connections between cinema, storytelling, the visual arts, and digital and sound effects.
The 7th edition of Heroes is scheduled for October 1–2, 2026, at Romics, Pavilion 8, Fiera Roma, Via Portuense 1645–1647.
Heroes IFF offers activities tailored for academies, universities, and 11th and 12th-grade classes at high schools.
This edition will focus on emerging professions in the visual and audiovisual arts, featuring:
- MASTERCLASSES WITH ITALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONALS AND ARTISTS (in Italian and English—with visuals, no translation).
- NATIONAL PREMIERE SCREENINGS OF FEATURE FILMS AND SHORT FILMS. The focus is on major “genre” narratives: science fiction, fantasy, thrillers, horror, and crossovers (literature / comics / films and series).
- CELEBRATIONS, AWARDS CEREMONIES, AND PANELS dedicated to artists and works of international significance.Each educational day is divided into two time slots: Slot A from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Slot B from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration grants access to all activities scheduled during the desired time slot such as masterclasses, thematic meetings, and screenings taking place during the festival.
Space for these activities is limited. Participation is free for students and faculty, and access is guaranteed upon reservation, subject to availability. The updated program will be available on the website www.heroesfilmfest.com.

Andrea Cavalletto | Presentation Design: the new Italian western
PRESENTATION COSTUME DESIGN - THE NEW "ITALIAN WESTERN": ANDREA CAVALLETTO (Head or Cross, Vermilion). Moderated by Francesca Romana Buffetti (Journalist, Director "Scenografia&Costume") in collaboration with the magazine Scenografia&Costume
Diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2004 and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome in 2007, where he was a student of Costume Designer Piero Tosi and Scenographer Andrea Crisanti. He began working as an assistant with costume designers Maurizio Millenotti and Alessandro Lai, affinding them in film and theater productions. Debuts as Costume Designer for the Film" Dieci Inverni" in 2009; first work by director Valerio Mieli, in competition at the 66th Venice Film Festival and which obtained Nastro D'Argento and David di Donatello in the same year. This was followed by more than 40 Cinematographic collaborations with directors such as: Ermanno Olmi's "Torneranno i Prati," with which he obtained the first nomination for the David di Donatello Award, "Martin Eden" by Pietro Marcello, "Vermiglio" by Maura DelPero," Il Cattivo Poeta" Gianluca Jodice and other Masters and Debuts of Italian and European Cinema: Michele Placido, Sergio Castellitto, Petr Vaclav, Sara Fgaier, Simone Bozzelli, Roan Johnson, Matteo Zoppis and Alessio Rigo de Righi etc. He has collaborated as a lecturer of the Course of Costume for the Performing Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia and the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and in recent years with the Experimental Center of Cinematografia in Rome.The meeting is scheduled on December 9.

HEROES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in programma dal 9 all’11 dicembre 2025 si svolgerà presso il The Space Cinema – Moderno Roma, P.za della Repubblica 43/45, 00184 Roma (RM)
HEROES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL è dedicato alle relazioni tra il Cinema, lo Storytelling, le Arti Visive, gli effetti digitali e sonori. Il tema dell’anno sarà Cinema, Videogame e Intelligenza Artificiale; il focus sulle nuove professioni delle Arti Visive e dell’Audiovisivo è affrontato con:
- MASTERCLASS CON PROFESSIONISTI E ARTISTI ITALIANI E INTERNAZIONALI (in lingua italiana e inglese – con visual, senza traduzione).
- PROIEZIONI IN ANTEPRIMA NAZIONALE DI LUNGOMETRAGGI E CORTOMETRAGGI. Protagonista è il grande racconto “di genere”: fantascienza, fantasy, thriller, horror e cross-over (letteratura / comics / film e serie).
- CELEBRATION, PREMIAZIONI E PANEL dedicati ad artisti e opere di rilievo internazionale.
Tra i protagonisti della 6° edizione di Heroes IFF: Alex Rebb (Final Fantasy), Jeorge Valle Hurtado (Avatar, Lord of the Rings), Isabelle Caillaud (Ocean’s Twelve, Rome, The Aeronauts), Gigi Cavenago (Love, Death & Robot / Orfani), Tecla Zorzi (Il migliore dei mali, Monster (3a stagione), Hanno ucciso l’uomo ragno. La vera storia degli 883, Mixed by Erry), Lucia Borgognoni (La stoffa dei sogni, Star Wars. La minaccia fantasma, Spiderman: Far from Home, La versione di Barney), Anastasia Tolea (Assassin’s Creed Mirage), Jacopo Reale (Love at first sight, In the trap, Pino Daniele: nero a metà) e Tiziano Palumbo (Secret Level, Call of Duty Black Ops 6).L’iscrizione dà accesso a tutte le attività previste nell’arco della giornata (ore 9:30 inizio attività, ore 14.30 termine delle attività): masterclass, incontri tematici e proiezioni dedicate a produzioni live action e d’animazione.
Le attività sono a numero limitato. La partecipazione di studenti e docenti è gratuita e l’accesso garantito su prenotazione, fino a esaurimento posti.
